Hyper-V Service Node

The Hyper-V Service Node performs all the operations in the protection process such as backups, restores, replications etc.

As described in step 4 of the Hyper-V Deploy Process Overview section, the Hyper-V Service Node option installs an IO filter and agent that downloads a VHDX and imports it into Hyper-V Manager, which coordinates the data protection for a given site.

During installation:

1. Enter the OneSystem IP or FQDN.
2. Enter the OneSystem certification Fingerprint.
3. Enter the Service Node Registration Token.
4. Enter the Agent Registration Token and Site ID.
5. Click Next.
6. Enter the operating system's Admin username and password.
7. Click Next then enter/confirm any additional information requested until the installation is complete.
